BMW at Techno Classica

BMW had one of the largest booths at Techno Classica on which its racing history was put in the spotlight, featuring several racing M3s and a SS1000 RR motorcycle. Nevertheless the wide range of historic models was of more interest to me. Especially because most cars were put on display by BMW enthusiast clubs. Cars that were clearly well looked after by their owners and in mint condition. A true sight to behold!
Here is a selection of my personal favourites. Enjoy the pictures!

The well-known 2002 Turbo, this one of 1974, with the famous turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 170 hp. The race striping and flared wheel arches make sure you don’t confuse it with a regular 2002 tii.BMW 2002 Turbo

The ultimate version of a 1990s super GT, the 850 CSi. A 380 hp V12 placed in a sleek Gran Turismo coupé body with pop-up headlights. Not so much a hardcore sports car but more a powerful highway cruiser. I love it!BMW 850 CSi

A 503 Coupé from 1959 in bright blue. It features a V8 with 140 hp. Only 273 were made.BMW 503 Coupé

A 3200 CS from 1964 with a 160 hp V8. The last of the post-war V8 generation of which 603 were produced (including 1 convertible conversion).BMW 3200 CS
