Besides quite a few Ford Mustangs, Ford was not really present at the 2015 Techno Classica Essen. Luckily I stumbled upon Ford enthusiasts who showed some of Ford’s most impressive contemporary sports cars.
This 1986 Ford RS200 Evolution features a 588 hp Cosworth turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All wheel drive was a must for the Group B class it drove in. Only 200 street legal models were built for homologation.
The 1989 RS Cosworth is based on a regular Ford Sierra but the turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces a less than normal 380 hp.
The GT40 is a 1990 replica built by Kenneth Vincent Attwell in the UK and features a Ford V8 with 350 hp.
